1989 Cannondale SR 300 (very small size)

1989 road 'dale frameset. Size 48 and in a very good shape.
Now, a single speed road project for laughing (not fixie. I'm not enough crazy. But why not in futur )

I find very elegant the design for making a very small frame without doing a sloping : welding the horizontal tube directly in the diagonal tube.
It's a criterium frame with the 2" diagonal tube diameter. And I like the contrast with the very classic lugged fork.

So, building started, with a concept : colors, colors, colors !

Thats cool that! I like the 'extended' chainstays to get the clearance for the back wheel!

The first idea : to keep only the frameset

But thanks to Photoshop for finding the first lines of the project : geometry, and why not, respraying the frame.

I gived up the idea of respraying when I received the frame : the painting was in a very good shape. But, with purple crank, anodized bolts and green apple housings… why not doing a christmas tree
