1988 Specialized Rockhopper comp (Finished pictures)

My latest project, courtesy of forum member andyhilton.

It is probably about 99% original, I didn't know what to do with it but as per usual I've decided to do a complete rebuild (keeps me off the streets)

All the componets are in amazing condition for the age of the bike. The only thing that was a bit stubborn was the bottom bracket, I think it has never been taken out.

Given everything a good degrease and clean, and a few new bits and pieces.

Stripped the frame and painted it the other night, just need the decals to go back on and rebuild it.

don't be too sad, painted it the same colours and I'm having some decals made to match too

Wow! Have a 1988 Rockhoper Comp owned since new. It's in pretty good nick but would love to put new stickers on. Can you let me know where you're getting the stickers made up as I'd like some too. Thanks

Very similar spec to my '88 Force Comp. Nice to see as it was a pretty era for shimano parts.
