1988 Cannondale SM600 24x26

Re:

Nice one Adrian,

I saw that one advertised and wondered what it would be like.

Did you take the pic on your coffee break? ;)

Re:

It is in rather nice condition :) I threw it together for a spin around the block and it's really nice and comfortable to ride. The seat is about the right height for me in the pics. An 18" frame would definitely be preferable but with the small back wheel and relatively short top tube for the frame size I can get away with riding this. Plans are to fit some amberwall tyres and maybe change the gear outers to red - which will probably mean changing the brake outers to match depending on how much they've faded. It could do with some new grips too but other than that it just needs a clean and polish. It hasn't seen a hard life as can be seen from the condition of the anodising on the braking surfaces.

Re:

I'd also like to find some red toe straps to balance it out and match the catalogue shot.

Re: New arrival

Looks great, Adrian :)

What year is it?

It's an 88 Simon, from Cannondale's golden age (in my opinion)
