This is from Donald Thomas (Bob Jackson Cycles) re the time trial
frame:
"I remember this model in Oria tubing. We did not make many of these
and most were in the Bob Jackson Brand. I do not know of another one
transfered as a Hetchins."
This bike has been owned from new by a 75 year old club member who is now disabled and wants to sell it.
He chose the bare frame from Hetchins , Southend -on-Sea and Arthur Hetchins gave him the petrol money to take it to Leeds to have the frame altered to suit his build. It was then enamelled, badged and sold to him.
The Frame , No 87138, is MANNESMANN ORIA CROMO MOLIBDENO ML25 tubing,
It is sold has a complete bike, no pedals. The wheels are Pete Mathews Designed & Handbuilt Pianni Aero. A pair of 700c's(Clincher) and a 24" Front (Tubular)
