1986 Walvale

Just picked the wheels up tonight from Pete Matthews. Highly reccomended, great to deal with and highly knowledgeable. Wheels look and feel really good, Dura Ace 32 hole hubs, NOS Araya rims, aero spokes.

Dropping the finished wheels off at The Bicycle Lounge (formerly "Harry Middletons") in the morning to get the gears sync'd up to the cassette and it will be all done! Cant wait.....

Pictures to follow tomorrow.

Heres the final pics of the bike before I went out on it Sunday. My first club outing! Wasn't the weather for it really....... Bit gutted at the state of the bike when I got back in! But I did it up to ride not look at. Ideally I could do with a winter ride as well but need to save up some more. Anyway, let me know what you think. Cheers.

bloody 'el that's nice!! subtle but refined - tastefully done all round. Given it's sparkling condition I'd agree you should locate a winter bike. Paint job is top notch, worth the $ outlay for sure. Unusual internal cable route for the rear brake - not seen many that send the cable around that side before. What age is the frame?
