Hello,

I got this nice 80's cannondale fairly recently, I gave it a bit of a clean, and put some road tyres on it with the idea of using it for my commute to work on sunny days. I've done this a couple of times now and have to admit to myself that I prefer road bikes for road cycling. So I was wondering if any of you MTB fanciers were in a similar situation, with a nice road bike sitting about doing nowt that you'd like to swap for this retro beauty?. Ideally it'd need to be a 56/57cm frame.

I'm not entirely sure how the logistics of this could work (unless you're in Suffolk as well) but thought i'd put it out there in case anyone had a hankering for one of these :D Cheers Matt

Re:

Is that a 20" Matt?

Re:

Hi, it has a seat tube measurement of 17" C-T and a top tube measurement of 22.5" C-C. If anyone would like a detailed spec or more photos let me know. Cheers Matt

Having done a bit of surfin' the net last night , I think these measurements make it what cannondale would call an 18" example.

Re:

Don't have anything to swap but would be interested in buying this, you would need to post it to me though, cheers John

Re:

Hi John, thanks for the offer, unfortunately I'm not short of offers to buy it, but it's an interesting swap that I'm after really though. Cheers Matt

Re:

Hi Nicholas,

Size wise I suppose around a 22" frame would fit the bill, I've a preference for 80's/90's British steel bikes, but wouldn't mind giving a continental built, or older carbon bike a home as I've never owned one. I'm really just quite interested in seeing what turns up, i'd also consider a nice frameset if one were offered.

Regards Matt
