Did you kill the seatpost taking it out? Wonder if that had any markings on size to help see if it was 531 or not.

good point - it was a steel post and was a bitch to remove, i had to use an old BMX stem and some scaffold bar to twist it out.

I wil go check now.

and yes, its a shame to sell, but I'm only asking £40 and it means it will be ridden again. I'm not a hoarder. I'm kind of an anti-hoarder, I like rescuing bikes and parts but I would get stressed out if I saw them accumulating and not being used.

Got this frame from ebay about two and a half years ago.Covered in black paint and the seller saying he thinks it might be 531.I think its Columbus tubed probably Aelle,after cleaning out the seat tube it took a 26.8 seat pin.
