does anyone have a copy of this race that they could sell me?
i've seen the photos and always wondered just what that race
was actually like, apart from totally mental that is!!

this photo gives a glimpse of the heroic effort that hinault made
to win races....god, i wish i had legs that went that fast.. :?

The absolutely epic race that's also referred to as Neige - Bastogne - Neige! 174 starters, 21 finishers, over half the peloton dropped out within the first hour.

The only race that's comparable in terms of its sheer brutality and attrition was the Gavia stage of the 1988 Giro. On the one hand, Liege was run over the full distance of 250+km while the Gavia stage was shortened to about 120km. On the other hand, there's the small matter of a 2600+m Alpine pass! I wouldn't want to do either in those conditions, that goes without saying.

I don't have a DVD I'm afraid, and there's not much in the way of videos online.
