1980 / 81 Andy Thompson Time Trial Bike

Hi Andy,

lovely bike this one. What is the history behind your bikes? How many bikes did you produce under the Orbit? was this before or after TBC headbadge?

Thanks in advance,

That poor rear mechs main spring is ready to break something that needs to be avoided.....

Wow!!! Wow!!!!
Nothing more to say.
Puts my frame to shame

One of the nicest roadies I've seen on the forum.
Thanks guys! Complements like these for my 40 year old work are much appreciated.
Andy

Re:

A beautiful example of a well-engineered, no-nonsense build from a highly-regarded framebuilder. Look after it well, that is an absolute classic.

Re:

Wow. That shiney bike has given me something to aspire to for this sorry looking sister frame i have just acquired. I was going to have the brake cable routing changed so it avoids going through the seat post but now i see it as a unique feature to be preserved although reinforcememt might be needed. Unfortunately mine has lost the gear shifter tower at some point but it does have a routing for a front derailleur to save the knees.
I have no idea what tubing was used (would love to find out) but it is light.
