That explains why i don't remember those wheels on the Carltons then
but yes i do remember how bad wet steel rims use to be back in the day as i use to clean the braking surface on mine with a little vinegar water which did help the brakes do their job but also use to make the brake blocks squeal ! a bit
.
I use to like using the old pink fibrax brake blocks bitd until the grey aztecs came out whitch i found to be a real big improvement and i think it's down to the softer metal of the alloy rims that gives the better braking surface than the old steel ones but yes i do miss how well the old chromed rims use to look and is a real shame that their so rare now .
