hello. My dad’s had an old bike in his garage for many years. My brother in law rode it this weekend and received a number of comments regarding its rarity and value. Can you tell me where best to sell such a bike and how do we find out its value?

The for sale section here. Sadly not worth a lot as it's not a high end bike. The Brooks saddle is collectable depending on the model. As a bike without the Brooks £50 maximum if you were lucky. The saddle could make near that depending on condition.

It’s been a while, but I think that era Brooks with the plastic badge and chrome rails has a number stamped on the underside which relates to its year of manufacture eg 79 = 1979
