For Sale 1969 Holdsworth road bike. Campagnolo, cinellii, weinmann, brooks etc

This is my dads bike - he’s only selling as he’s moving to Australia. He bought the frame direct from Holdsworth around 1969 and built the bike with quality parts.

It’s always been garages but needs cleaning, has wear and some rust you can see in the pictures. Could be brought back to life beautifully. Cinelli handlebars and other lovely parts.

This is just my opinion, obviously, but this bike definitely needs a full strip-down restoration, so I'd say £300 is quite a bit over what it's worth, I'm afraid. You're limited to a buyer who want to take on a fairly big project, and even on here (where people are indeed willing to do that sort of thing) that's only likely to be the case if 1) It's a rare bike (which this isn't, as far as I know) or 2) It's cheap as chips.

I should think around £125 is about right, given that what sjcprojects says is spot on. I have to say that "danger to life" is putting it a bit strong. I'd buy it like a shot if I didn't have queue...
