1948 CB Short Wheelbase Tandem

Pictures of your front and rear rims and hubs? I'm thinking that the front wheel might be original. Take a look at where your front brake pad sits in the slots of the brake. How much can the pads slide up to accommodate a larger (700c) rim. Keep looking for seat posts that might fit. I think that there are some that have smaller diameters. I have only found it necessary to have the suspension post for the stoker.
 
Seems I misread the rear hub, it's a BH Airlite Hub.

Thanks for the knowledge FTT, having never ridden a tandem before this is all new to me. I'd rather over spec from the start than buy twice. Though always happy to find the right bargain on eBay or Marketplace.
