That seems extremely strange I must say. My C16R from that year was exactly that colour, aside from silver forks. Doesn't green with silver forks seem weirder? In the archives here, the 95-96 catalogue has silver frame & silver forks; the 97 catalogue has green frame & green forks.
Anyway, they all still ride the same!
