19" Orange C16r £120 BIN

repainted in the original colour, but missing (badly) its decals and the forks looked much better in the original silver. Great bike for £120 though.

OK only STX but still not bad..
I put STX on mine for commuting purposes - STX-RC cranks and mechs, STX 7-speed shifters. I never had any problem with the cranks/mechs and I can say with total certainty that the STX 7-sp shifters were the best shifters I have ever used, so much better than XT. I no longer commute, so the bike is on long-term loan to my pal who borrowed it with a view to converting it to single speed, but without any prompting from me he came back with 'those are the best shifters I've ever used, I've changed my mind about single speed'.

Here endeth the lesson. Peace be upon you, and all who sail in you.

I agree with regard to stx-rc groupo , Got a seven speed set on my P7 from about 95 , excellent shifting.
I think they only made it for a year so quite an unusual groupset to find,in my opinion one of the best.

I had a plain ol' STX groupo on my old Tequesta and it was faultless, believe my I'm a believer in the power of STX and a bit of Exage ES(my god, I haven't seen any of that for ages!!), I've just seen people snif at deore LX on here before.. BITD I would have killed for a full LX group.

My comment was based really on it being a whole clockwork for £120, personally, I would change some of the lower end parts, but £120 still sounds good.

I have a ten year old STX-RC rear hubs thats been used and abused - never rebuilt or regreased and its fine  And a teny year old chainset still on its original rings..........

I'm surprised this hasn't been BIN'd yet..? :? I thought that it would get snapped up.. if I was taller I would have!

I'm 5-7 and I was very comfortable on mine - a size 19 C16R is about the smallest size 19 you'll find. And you might be surprised how much lighter it is than a P7.

Yup. I think Orange listed the 19" as being suitable for folks from 5'7" to 5'10". The 19" frame is like most brands 17" - 18"
