This is the first of 2 frames I'll be selling having just purchased a Kona Explosif from a fellow member...the other to be posted soon is a mint condish' gloss black 19" Kona Hahanna frame...
I bought this one new in '98 (still have bike build receipt) from Merlin Cycles and was their top range Triple Butted heat treated 7005 alloy frame at the time.Weighs under 4lbs and as a light & zingy feel owing to tha fact that the tubes are really thin walled and ring when pinged with ones finger !Gussetted head tube and replacement rear gear hanger so very robust.
It rides really well and without the normal harshness of alloy.
This is a great quality old school alloy frame that would form the basis of a nice light reto bike build.
Value wise I'd like to think it was worth a sensible £85 with postage.
Have tried to ass pictures but cannot reduce those taken to required 512kb! Please let me know if you'd like some and I can e mail them
