Anyone hear can verify the 1985 year, he's very specific about when he bought it. Looks surprisingly modern in appearance if it really is that old.

Would agree -its got sti shifters - no way 1985

My 1990 Stumpy had DX underbar thumbshifters like that, but I think the actual levers were a bit smaller.
