18" Explosif frame

Useful info on this frame:

I asked the seller if it was an older frame modified to run disk brakes. He told me he 'spoke to his mate' and was told its an 04 model.

should it not have a reinforcing strut between chain and seat stay for disc, or do not all frames need this then?

I think it's pretty much necessary. This was a frame designed for V brakes, so no telling how it would handle the stresses caused by disk brakes. Far easier to add a brace, than do the whole disk tab job mind.

Hi, thought I'd chime in for my first post.

04's had sliding drop-outs ( I had one), this is an 03 which had the fixed disc mount as standard.

Hope this helps :)

Some do, some don't. Obviously you can't fit a chonking gert 8" disc on there, but a puny little 6", or less, should be fine.

OX platinum as well not tt lite as I thought before, whatever the difference is I don't know :?
