18" cindercone x2 / orange c16r with rc36

18" black cindercone in very good condition no dents. paint is good apart from a few chips, lx front and rear mech, seat post and crank incuded. im not sure of the year but im sure someone here will let me know.
looking for £130 posted but open to offers as always

orange c16r c-c 17" c-t 19". in british racing green comes with pace rc 36 xt front and rear mech and everything you can see here, headset is 1". the seat post is shimed, the frame is in good condition one very small dink in the down tube just above the BB the crud catcher bolts have been shered off in the frame but i can drill and tap them befour i send it out.

They look very similar don't they? But I think the purple = 'Eggplant Surprise' (eggplant is Yankee for aubergine, which I take to mean very dark purple) is the one that's actually from 1998.

The black one with 98 decals has the kind of dropouts with triangular cutouts that were used from 1990 to 93, but the geometry/general shape suggests 93 to me, rather than earlier. But the serial number might help.

I believe the C16R is a 1995. I have one myself, and for all that I like Konas I would have to say that IMPO the C16R is the most fun of those three frames.

They do look very similar, but I actually wasn't judging by the pictures. Eggplants can be very dark purply colour to black, so I assumed the black one was the "eggplant" 98. At a glance, I'm not even sure which one he is calling purple and which one black :shock: That might be my crappy pc. Or I'm going colour blind....

Anyway, trust Anthony on this, because as I said, I only interpreted black as eggplant which=98. If I had interpreted purple as eggplant, I would have said that was 98. But while I'm at it, is the top one supposed to be purple and the bottom black?

Nevermind, when I move my screen back and forth I can see the purple in the top one. Looked black to me before.

its the same close up...... if the black one is pre 94 then i have some p2s for it but they dident come with the frame. i always thought the black one was 98 until i found the eggplant one.
