Hi Everyone

Not used to all this new fangled tech so asking here before I make a complete numpty of myself

I have purchased off here a pair of Fulcrum Red metal wheels with a 15mm thru axle and need to convert them to 9mm QR, my question is can I just use any adapter axle or do I have to buy a specific one for the wheels ?

All advice appreciated :D

Cheers

Mark :D

You need this ... https://www.deporvillage.net/adapter-fr ... to-qr-9-mm (check with you specific fullcrum wheel if it is the one you need)

You have to read if it is compatible with your wheel set and that is all.

Mavic for example in their Cross Max wheelset give you all type of adapters to use 9,12 or 15mm front and rear in the box. But they don´t give you the spline casette or XD or traditional ... this bicycle world is a night mare today. Add you have to choose between boost and no boost systems and you have all variants of wheels you can buy. And that only for wheels, imagen what happen with the BB ... that is worse :?

I got this done by Ben Norton at The Bike Cabin, Chorley. https://www.thebikecabin.com/. He got some aluminium caps similar to the ones pictured. I wanted a 9mm for my Whyte PRST4 which has Big Gripper drop outs! IYKYK, too complex to explain to the uninitiated! I recommend Ben for all manner of help and repairs.
