15% off all bikes at halfords...

its always dumbfounded me that a shop so badly stocked, with such cretins working in it, can manage to stay afloat. Let alone be succesfull.

surely the 'bikehuts' run at a loss though? why does anyone use them?...

hang on, Tony Blair was prime minister for 10 years.... Yes. The public really are stupid enough.

^due to all the car stuff they do

[RANT ON]

My local one has four pathetic hoops for locking bikes to, the have blocked the centre ones with a huge metal cage with screenwash and made the outer two useless with huge cardboard signs cable tied to them (advertising car products), having said that i still go there cause they are handy , next time i go there with the bike i'll take it into the store with me and wheel it around

My local one must

2x tins of GT85 @ £4.99 = £9.98
1x dry chain lube @ £4.99

Buy two get 3rd free offer - check.
(mental total by self at till £14.97 less £4.99 = £9.98)

Their total £7.49? uhh yeah ok..... kthxbai! :D

I was disappointed they didn't have any citrus degrease though :(

Needless to say i'll be popping back to stock up on cleaning and lube consumables ready for the winter.

i am guilty of usint them. they are open late which is the only time i can go shopping.

they are not always staffed by cretins either.

there's a decent guy in the scunthorpe branch and another at grimsby. perry used to work at halfords too

i would have thought bike hut made plenty of money really. they have a good range of kids bikes

I guess so, one chap did do me a favour on an outer cable dela the other day, and they are handy for 7pm 'doh, need a chainlink!' emergencys etc.

Id be disappointed if they werent around, but im usualy disappointed when I go into one... its like the twilight zone
