Fantastic range of car cleaning products.

Cheap for kids bikes.

Cheap for bike lube, tyres etc.

Handy for being open until 8pm.

Cheap?

Convenient maybe but all of the mentioned can be found cheaper easily.

Each to their own I suppose.

:)

Handy and good for cheap consumables plus bizarrely today I got a 27mm diameter seatpost in the 27.2 section, a fortuitous mistake by them as 3 of my bikes require a 27mm post :D

The majority of the UK population no nowt about bikes other than the perceived wisdom that cyclings good for the health. Halfords exploits this brilliantly and thus remains successful.

Only us bike snobs know how crap they really are and no one important listens to minorities

Whats the bloody point?

They need to empty their warehouse for the next lot . Would be cheaper to open all the boxes and just repaint them in the warehouse as most bikes only differ in colour .

perry used to work at halfords too

Oi , I thought you were a mate  16 years and the last 8 months have basically ruined any semblance of credibility I had :( I expect I would have more respect from fellow cyclists if I had spent the last 8 months as an escort

1 it was that or be jobless and end up doing anything like warehouse monkey , shelf stacking , street sweeping , bum wiping etc

2 I could do it without much thought . Most jobs I have done such as building houses requires a lot of suddenly gained knowledge .

3 it was literally at the end of my street ( well still is , the store hasn't moved since I left but I don't want it to sound like present tense )

4 it gave me a current reference , I had been out of work for so long that whenever I got an interview the employer would look at my cv and think " hmm why out of work for so long " . Luckily the manager was a good guy and I am now in a proper shop .

halfords is infuriating because it's clear that they could do a hell of a lot better with minimal extra effort . Could you imagine if the halfords network of stores offered chainreaction levels of service !
