105 brake lever hood compatiblity

Can anyone confirm if all or most shimano 105 brake lever hoods are compatible between different models?
More specifically, will a set of 1055 hoods fit a set of 1051 levers?

I'd like to know for sure either way before I try it, as I don't want to risk it if I don't have to!
