1" threaded JIS headset

Im looking for a 1" threaded JIS headset for a 1995 Marin Hidden Canyon, I bought a 1" headset and cannot fit the cups into the headtube, they measure up 0.2mm too big, after a bit of research it appears a 1" JIS headset will fit.

What do they need to measure? I have a few brand new one inch headsets spare, silver, sealed cartridge, black Tange- Seiki, Black Ritchey? PM me ta.

The frame cups need to be 30.0mm diameter. A standard 1" headset measures 30.2 and will not fit.

I have an ooooold Shimano STX one that needs new ball bearings (cups are fine - in fact so were bearings, I just lost the buggers!!). I think thats JIS?? You can have it for £15
