Hi,
Looking for either a 1 Inch Threaded steerer of roughly 165mm length (could be longer if there is tons of thread low down) or a unthreaded steerer of 200mm + (long as you want).

Q.
Will I need a shim to fit it to a pair of Marzocchi XCR forks when i have removed the 1 1/8th steerer?

Cheers Pete

Is 165mm length overall? I should have it in my boxes.

Yes.

Hope you have a crown which clamps the steerer with 2 screws.

I have the same problem.
kraeMit above is the resident expert.
He has told me that a Marzocchi DH3 crown will fit an XCR fork and as it has a bolted crown you can easily fit a 1 inch steerer :)

He also has loads of spares, see his website, link in his sig.

Thanks kreaMit and Gruff,

kreaMit -

The threaded steerer needs to be 165 above the crown. If its threadless - the longer the better (200mm +).
I do have the bolt on crown version with two allen key bolts.

I'm just having a look at your website now.

Cheers Pete

The logest steerer I have is ca. 300mm, it is a version for pressing in, means it is a little bit raugh at the bottom. It's new.
You have to rasp it planar.
