1" carbon fork question

Hi, this is my first post and it is question :)
Are there any carbon forks with 1" steerer? And if not, is there a way I can equip my old bike that currently has threded fork with new carbon fork?

There are lots of carbon forks with 1" steerer, both curved and straight legged; it's just a matter of looking out for them in the classifieds and on ebay.

Both my Raleigh and my Rourke have Mizuno forks I found on ebay.

Thank you kindly for your reply, and if I may ask something else too, if/when I get this 1" fork, can I use it as thredless? What headset would be apropriate?

If the fork is threadless, and both mine are, then you'd need to change the headset from threaded to threadless.

Threadless 1" headsets are not the most plentiful of items, but a number of companies still make them from people like Ritchey, Cane Creek / Tange right up to Chris King.

Both my Raleigh and Rourke have Ritchey headsets, although they are different models.

Don't forget Campagnolo - the 1" threadless Record headset is bombproof and stunning value. It also has grease ports on the lower race so you can lube it without dismantling the front of the bike.

There are few 1" forks with carbon steerers. I suspect that many considered it a bit too risky. Ribble and a few others stock 1" forks. The nicer and more exotic ones are hard to find new these days.

an aheadset. Smaller companies make decent ones, like BBB, XLC, and even Acor I believe. Or you can buy Campy Record for almost a lifetime.
An ahead stem is pretty much cheap in an advert-classified. And easier to get it.
The fork steerer length should be adequate. If it's too short, you can braze a new steerer tube onto it, at least, it's a "common practice" here. :) Plenty of 1inch carbon forks out there. Look at ebay, ribble, bike24, and even here in the classifieds or lfgss.

I would NOT braze an extension onto a carbon fork's steel steerer. There is too much potential for heat damage of the bond of the carbon.
Use a retrofit steerer extender if you have to.
