Contemplating doing the above with some Ritchey lightweight tubes in some 1.95" Panaracer speed blasters, will the only negative be they are likely to puncture pretty fast or will I just ruin the tubes?

:?

should be fine m8

I've ran 20" tubes in a 26" wheel before ,bit of a stretch but worked fine

Hmmm that's quite a stretch.

Makes me thinks the tolerances in a tube are pretty wide to accommodate all sorts. Ta.

Before I went tubeless, I always used 1.5 tubes in my 2.1 MTB tires because they are lighter and work just as well as the larger tubes.

.

CRC were doing the 1.75 Ritchey tubes for £2 each a while back.
I bought a load and have used them without problems with tyres upto and including 2.1
