1.25, 1 1/4" headset anyone got one?

After a headset to buy, well actually just the lower bit, for an old Prinipcia road frame, unusual 1 1/4" size like you used to get on some retro mtb's. Can only find £100 new Chris King oneson-line, the frame's not worth that. Anything I can cannibalize let me know, cheers Lou

Personally i'd go for the CK and relax knowing you've got the part which you can always take off and hang on to till another like project comes around
Big out for a H/S but it holds its price reasonably well and is a good well made bit of kit that looked after will last indefinitely [with bearing change)

yep saw the reducers but would have to change forks which are tapered for it, been offered a couple of NOS threaded ones I can cannibalise the lowers for £30 mark. Sounds good, thanks all

I might have an DX threaded one in the garage at home , it was removed in 92 to fit the Mavic one I have for sale, I'll try and remember to look tonight , if it's of use you can have it for the price of postage.

Sorry to inform you that after a good root round in the garage it doesn't appear I still have it (It was removed 20 years ago!), found an HG90 cassette though !
