Cheers, I have the right stem, just looking for an unusual adapter to allow me to fit in a way that won't look naff.I put this on yesterday.....
For Sale - BOA Profile 1" steerer ahead stem
Got a lesser spotted 1" ahead stem. 30o ish, 100mm reach, 25.4mm bars. Bit of rub on decals, but actual finish very good. Thought this might help someone out as they are getting quite tricky to find in 1" steerer now. £10 posted! Just to get it out the shed.www.retrobike.co.uk
Thanks for this, definitely worth a look. You could use a quill raiser.
The upper section is (usually) the right size to clamp a 1&1/8 ahead on, and the wedge bolt is well recessed, so once fitted you could cut the upper tube to the right length and then fit a star nut.Oxford Quill Stem Raiser
Fits into traditional road bike threaded 1 inch steerer (22.2mm internal) to allow the fitting of the existing stem much higher, i.e. completely above the top lock nut. 6mm Hex Key at least 10cm long is required for fitting.www.sjscycles.co.uk
