I've an ART stem on a bike - I know it's ally (you want/ would like steel), but IMHO they're pretty decent, I like that the bolts aren't protruding, have a removable end-cap, usually reasonably priced and they seem to be moderately common in 1".

Thanks for the offer ,
I have a aluminium stem but really want something similar to my pic.
I originally had a cro-mo stem back in 93 so would like to rebuild in a similar style.
