From what was written, the engine had been run dry of oil, and 7 litres of the stuff didn't make it run any better. Owner obviously hadn't checked. Is that a case of the rich and shameless being oblivious or deliberately out-of-touch to reaffirm their elitism, or somebody over extended and couldn't afford to maintain it?
A new block? 15k of your finest pounds, sterling, apparently. Presumably labour on top of that.
Well the rich are getting richer & the poor are getting poorer. So why maintain when you can just buy anther or pay to get it fixed.
I bet the owner of that Aston didn't even know were the engine was.
