The 4x2 method is quite useful. If you watch the Paul Brodie videos you can see how much he pulls his frames around. I guess he know what he is doing. Steel frames can be pulled around quite a lot in a way that aluminium frames cannot.

I'd cold set it if you want to run eight speeds. It's quite straightforward.

Must be worth that for the XT LX parts.

After some days of heavy rain the sun came out today by late morning. I have been listening to "The Last Invention" podcast. It is 8 hour long episodes giving the full history of AI, how we got here and where we go next. Very thorough and balanced...but scary! Available on most platforms...free on YouTube...

Nice looking bike, I have a Beast of the East M800 in orange splatter wincluding the Pepperoni forks but I think yours looks quite distinctive with the polished ones. I also picked up an M2000 frame put with a Manitou so I am looking to build that up soon.
