    GT Pantera.. Finally finished.

Finally, after a few late night and more spends than the wife knows about (admit it, we've all done it), my 1996 Pantera is done, finished, completed.. This is my first "ground up" resto, so let me know what you think.. Good, bad or ugly 👍. Ps. If anyone can tell me where the "made in USA"...

    1996 GT Pantera.. Knowledge?

Lol. I feel your pain 😁. Mine is a Drummond 3 1/2 Mtype. It was made in 1941.. Mind you, it's not out of place in my man cave, it fits in well with my Walker Turner "the driver" pillar drill, also made in 1941. (And no, i didn't buy them new..Lol).

    1996 GT Pantera.. Knowledge?

To be fair, my ways could do with a regrind.. I hear there's a firm in Halifax that do it, but it will have to wait until i get some spends. £100 has got to be a bargain 👍 it cost me more than that in diesle to collect mine.

    1996 GT Pantera.. Knowledge?

Hiya Mickeysinn, thanks for your reply.. There is a braze on near the head tube, to carry the rear brake outer cable, it is ally welded to the frame about 3.5in from where the headtube joins the downtube, then there is a run of bare brake cable, which goes to an ally braze on to the underside of...

    1996 GT Pantera.. Knowledge?

Hi guy's, I'm restoring a 1996 Pantera, all is going well, but I've hit a bit of a "how the hell" stage in the rebuild.. I've got the Vbrakes fitted to the front 👍, and, I'm now on to fitting the rear brake cable, but, my 96' was originally fitted with canti's, so there arn't any braze on's to...

    1996 GT Pantera.

Hi Trailstar and thanks for your thoughts 👍. Looking at the frame, i can't tell if it was a high polish, or BB finish when new, due to neglect, the ally has turned "cloudy" and dull, leaving me guessing how it left the factory.. I would however like to bring it up to a mirror polish, then add a...

    1996 GT Pantera.

Hi guy's. I have been given a 96 Pantera, its a real timewarp ride, complete with full STX, ClubRoost saddle, Zokes etc. Does anyone know, were the "polished ally" GT frames of the 90's lacquered to protect them, or were they as the name states, simply a polished frame, without lacquer?? I...
