ID help for this 80s MTB?

Thanks, that would make sense. Seller is now ghosting me despite us making an arrangement for me to see the bike. People are weird…

ID help for this 80s MTB?

I've seen this for sale for the equivalent of just over £50 here in Sweden. Frame looks at least half-decent (steel, lugged construction) and I'll probably get it for the thumb shifters alone, but does anyone have an idea what it is? Badge on the front seems to say 'PDM' who were a road team...

Matsushita National Super Road, dump find! (Updated)

Never got around to selling this last year, so just got out of the shed, gave it a wipe down and took some better pics. Still can’t believe someone binned it.

    1986 (?) Tech Nova Pro

Looks like a Shimano Uniglide. You need two chainwhips, use one to hold the cassette and one to unscrew the smallest sprocket.

    1989 Raleigh Appalachian

Re: Re: Thanks. Presume you're aware of this thread, but I'll post just in case. https://www.bikeforums.net/classic-vint ... sions.html Gear shifters are a happy result of not wanting to shell out for bar end shifters and the downtube being oversized and therefore no good for the band-on...

Re: Very nice. Love titanium, love retro mods. But I’ll never get on with that DA 9000 chainset!

Anyone else just assemble a load of bits?

Anyone else just assemble a load of bits?

Re: I like that! I recently did something similar with a Cannondale M500 frame I had (originally bought on here). Put this together and gave it to a bike-less friend:

Matsushita National Super Road, dump find! (Updated)

Re: Cheers for the replies. I've now cleaned and lubricated everything, serviced all the bearings and fitted (but not yet glued) new tubs. Still needs new bar tape and maybe new brake cable outers (they are fine, but stained and the rear is a bit short). The grease in the hubs and pedals was...

    Moser Classe resto mod

Matsushita National Super Road, dump find! (Updated)

Re: Matsushita National (Panasonic) Super Road, mint dump find! Cheers for the info! Plans are to stick some tyres on, clean it up (doesn’t need much) and sell it, I suppose. Always hard to let them go though...

Matsushita National Super Road, dump find! (Updated)

Literally pulled this out of the metal recycling skip at the local dump. Was told off (this is Sweden) but then the woman said she was going to “look to the sky”, so I took it. Incredible condition, near-mint. The tubs are rotten (but still hold air) everything else appears golden. Full...
