Campagnolo power torque self extracting system

I have a Potenza PT with a self extraction system on nds arm…a doddle to remove. I also run an Athena 11 Carbon chainset, with no such extractor. Question, can I remove the extractor from the Potenza and fit to my Athena, so as not to damage the carbon nds arm upon removal.

    No, drew a blank alas.

120 to 130 rear spacing and chain line.

That is super close, hence damage to stay from removal. In terms of chain line, is it pot luck? Has an 11 into a cold set 120 to 130 been successful achieved hassle free?

“the last cog will interact with the frame”… as in figment and removal of wheel, or in use?

120 to 130 rear spacing and chain line.

Has anybody any experience of cold setting a frame to accept modern hub and its associated effect on chain line? Do I presume it depends on the frame, so pretty much hit and miss? Have had an early 80s frame cold set to 130, from 120, by a highly experienced London frame builder. Alignment...

Re: Really don't know. My friend suspects the geometry may well be for time trialling. The minimal part wear he said infers it wasn't subject to heavy use in training, just brought out on race days. Clement tubs, 54 big ring, compact block. As for the builder, we have no idea.

Re: I believe it may have been a special. My friend in the club who stripped it down, stated that the components have next to no wear at all. Furthermore, it ran a 54 chainring and 13-18 block. He has asked me to ask Winston Vaz to measure the geometry when it’s painted. He suspects it was a...

    1970s drivetrain alterations

Re: Thanks for replies. Looking at Disraeli gears site, Crane can take a 28. Issue is now bb. Apparently original dura ace is 112mm, but offset. Can’t just source one off shelf. Also don’t know which chainrings to fit, as don’t want to alter chain line. Any ideas? I have had issues before...
