    TI Raleigh frame identification.

Re: So, anyone want a 54cm (21") Gran Sport frame in team replica colours? Haha Unfortunately there isn't much of the original componentry left. The Campag shifters and front mech are there, and I have the bars and stem, but that's it. The brakes are modern-ish dual pivot Tektro things, and...

    TI Raleigh frame identification.

Re: Thanks all. The fluted stays were confusing me too. However I've found this 1982 catalog scan that shows the Gran Sport (which I now know is what GS stands for) was available in team replica colours. I think this might be my answer. https://goo.gl/images/9a3iWc

    TI Raleigh frame identification.

Hi All My knowledge of retro road frames is limited at best. Can anyone help with identifying this frame. I can find some that look similar on Google (Team? Team pro?) and someone has suggested it's a GS, but I can't find much relating to a GS frame. The frame number starts WG2, which I have...

    1997 Marzocchi Mr.T HELP needed!

As far as I remember the inner screws were rebound adjusters, with the outside (usually blue or black) being preload. I think on later models one side was compression and the other rebound. If its simply the top of the adjuster that is missing/broken then I doubt it would cause a problem further...

VERY early Shimano disc brakes? Any info.

Hi all After seeing this on the bay and thinking '1970s disc brake... surely not' However a bit of googleing later I came up with this scan. This seems to show both a cable disc and a hydro available in 1973!! Does anyone have any more info on this. I always thought discs didnt get...

which part has impressed you most over the years?

More votes for early Z1s. I know of a 1998 set, used constantly, still work fine and only on third set of seals! Magura HS brakes, and the early discs they made. The Gustav is still the most powerful brake I've ever used, and due to its design you never got any sticky piston problems or...

What are these? (adjustable dropout content)

Look pretty much identical to the ones that came with the On-one Gimp frames too.

    Question about 40s-50s frames.

Hi All After seeing this video, I was wondering why frames of that period were made with the seat stays separate from the rest of the frame. I dont see how this would make it much cheaper, so was there another reason for it that I am missing? Ta Phill

What Year Is This Boxxer Pro and Is It Adjustable?

Hi They are indeed '98s. The pro is a rare fork AFAIK. Equivalent of the World Cup models now, and the first time before SRAM took over that there was more than one Boxxer model in one manufacture year. The damping adjustments on the bottom are rebound and low speed compression. I found...

Alloy seatpost stuck in cromoly frame

A good machinist should be able to get it out in a few hours. Seatpost will be gone though. Took my dad about 2 hours to get my mates out. He had the tools and know-how though. Pip

    Retro spokes

http://www.justridingalong.com/shop.php?product=100 Not cheap though. Chain reaction do spokes but you have to buy 36 at a time. My best bet is always my local shop, then I can get as many at whatever length I need. Pip

    north east powder coating?

http://www.bettablast.co.uk/bettablast/home.html Just outside newcastle and very good. Iv had several frames done there and they have all been excellent. They do a large variety of colours and finishes. Prices for a flat colour (blasted then coated) is about £30, more tarty finishes push the...

    Red Ti-Glide /Suspension- splined for disc/red Mavic X517

On a disc wheel yes. As the disc side spokes are pulling at a very steep angle they will put a large amount of stress through the thinnest part of the hub flange. I wouldn't be comfortable with less than 3 cross. On a rim-brake wheel it makes less difference on the non-drive side, but the...

    Hope - top fellas!

I had very similar. 2004 rear XC that had been used for everything from trials to DJs to commuting had a cracked hub flange. 2 days later it had a shiny new hub body free of charge. Few mates have had similar experience. Really top notch service! Pip
