The very first Ridgeback bouncy bikes

As here as well - viewtopic.php?f=1&t=369691 Now, I know they existed, but can I find photos of them? Hell no. Ridgeback made a series of bouncy bikes in the late 90s with names like Cooler King and Mr White. Anyone else remember them? They handled like pigs on stilts. Do any photos exist?

    Early Saracen Lovers Anonymous......

They were on very early Evans/Saracen, I believe. The brothers were the Stanforths and they screwed the brand sideways. Ruined it. Oddly, one of their sons is now churning out this stuff; Which looks to me like someone is trying to pre-empt the hipsters moving from fixies to MTB!

If you find yourself in Bozeman, Montana...

Be sure to find time to visit The Gear Wizard. http://thegearwizard.com/ Stumbled upon this place after a simply brilliant day's skiing at Bridger Bowl, and it was like an Alladin's Cave of retroness! So much loveliness in one place! Gleaming old Kleins, some original Jim Blackburn racks...

    Early Saracen Lovers Anonymous......

The combination of the wishbone and that fork has always been of my faves from the Saracen back catalogue. That green was stunning as well, BITD, simply stunning.

I had one of those... If it has Profile Durango bars, it's mine. (Was stolen after I gave it away, still regret both parts of that.)

    Personal Unicorn bikes (What's yours?)

This; Sold loads of them BITD. Would also love to have the utterly bonkers stablemate to go with it; Oh, and a 1995 Kili Flyer. Only pic I can find is in the catalogues here! http://www.retrobike.co.uk/gallery2/d/1 ... n_1995.pdf

    Scott FX-DH

In this case, it was intended to replicate the saddle on a MX bike, allowing the rider to slide fore and aft to move weight around.

When Will This Be Retro? or is it already?

I have one of similar vintage. It's superb to ride to this day! Sadly underused, though. Pondering selling it. :-(

All those stories of limited supply/edition guff........

When Oakley released the original X-Metal Romeos, I was offered a pair (I was a major Oakley retailer at the time). I was also informed that they weren't going to remain that exclusive for that long. So I declined. Shame, as I wish I had a pair now!
