Unknown GT project - I know its not a Zaskar!

Pretty shure it's a Backwoods, the 7005 sticker point to 1997 onward date! That's my guess. Bomb proof frame, I had one BITD.

14.5in GT Backwoods project. Fresh from ebay!

I had a Backwoods BITD! Spec'd STX RC rear and front, Alivio cranks, Avid brakes and a RS Jett XC. Frame was too small, had to part. Nice bike though.

Vitus 979 Duralinox - UPDATED PHOTOS

Lovely, liked the blue ano on it. Those 105's are really good IMO. A prove you can have a reliable and useful piece without blowin' the budget sky high.

Joe Waugh 531 Designer Select 'Sick' Paintjob

Liked it, but I have a soft spot for colourful things. It's different from most of the bikes we se here and on the roads, kinda of annoys me the fact that everything nowadays is so black, white and grey. I'd keep the way it is and enjoy being an oddball in the peloton (in the good sense...

    Gazelle Trim Trophy

Classy! Really liked the Shimano 600 spec! It's a full 531 frame, including forks?

Peugeot 653 Athena (restomod - purists step away...)

Liked a lot, although I'm not a big fan of modern cranks. It's running a 10 speed cassete?

It was Rich34's '76 Galaxy - now The Dawes Galaxy thread!

That Alves look huge. Any info on the bike? I've never heard about it, where it was made?

It was Rich34's '76 Galaxy - now The Dawes Galaxy thread!

I would go with bar end shifters, would look quite nice! Flat bars have limited grip options IMO.

Lovely, the B17 will really do justice. Likin' what you've done to it! What hubs are those?

    Rejuvinated for training/commuting duties

Liked the original better, only because of the colours since I'm a fan of black and gold bikes. But I'm not a conservative myself, really fond of people who 'pimp' their own bike so it looks unique. It's nice and you're happy with it, so I guess it's ok!

For me: chowi’s 1992 Gilles Berthoud, really liked that bike when he first posted.

    the "Veloavalou"… 1985 c'dale ST500

I have a similar 1986 ST 500 frame, it's sitting around the house waiting for the right parts and was wondering if I would have to go for 27 instead. Thanks man.

    Carlton sumat-or-other

The forks resemble the ones I saw fitted on a Claud Butler Minstrel frame once, circa 1978/1979. Never heard of any relation 'tween the companies, though. Some parts speak early 80's to me.

My GT Backwoods, nothing fancy. Original spec except for the Ritchey stem, IRC tires and the San Marco Rolls saddle!

    the "Veloavalou"… 1985 c'dale ST500

Nice 'Dale, mate. Girlfriend must be quite happy! One question though, any problems fitting the 700c's on it?

    Canadian Klunkers

Well I don't care much 'bout high end stuff, I'm into functionality and reliability! The Suntour Honor is a good example of the sort of part I like, it's heavy, but it's extremely reliable.
