Re: It is apparently an old Hayes 22mm mount from the early days of disc brakes. Cheers

    Rear disc? mount question

Not sure where this fits but i just purchased a Serotta and the rear takes a disc brake I believe but the mount point is unlike anything I have seen before. I am hoping that somebody could thrust a bit of knowledge on me. Its a XC Serotta, possibly a custom build. Dont really have any more info...

    Gazelle Formula

I was watching the Paris–Roubaix from the early 90's and saw Duclos-Lasselle riding a road bike with a shock and thought I should build one of those! I assume I found the NOS ruby fork while at the bar and purchased it straight away. As always I blame my loosened inhibitions while at the bar...

    1993 Mantis Pro-Floater

Thanks, bought 500 or 600 euro worth of rings at the bar one night from a German site and these were some of them. I make my best worst decisions at the bar. :)

I will let you know, if it doesn't sell in the next few weeks I will be parting it out. It took me a while to decide to sell some bikes but now that I have they definitely are on the way out.

    Gazelle Formula

Here’s an old Gazelle Formula Race that was rebuilt as a Paris–Roubaix tribute bike. It was professionally powder-coated a stunning “Mountain Dew” green. The decals were made for fun to match the fork, but you can still get period Gazelle decals from Velocals. The Rock Shox Ruby fork was...

    Pro-Flex 755 GLS 1995

Here’s a blast from the past with a really nice build. The Pedersen SE cantilever brakes will stop you in a hurry, but the suspension doesn’t do much except mute the chatter. The elastomers in the front and rear are fresh and covered in neoprene booties to keep them safe from UV rays. Believe...

    1993 Mantis Pro-Floater

The frame is in great shape with no dents, dings, or cracks. Bought this here a few years ago as a completed build. When I got it I swapped the Joes brakes that I found to be unadjustable for a set of NOS WTB Speedmasters, the fork was also changed out for a NOS Mag 21. In addition to this I...

    1989 Kestrel MXZ rebuild

I hope it will be buttoned up this weekend. Yes I went a bit crazy the last couple years and I think we have 30+ bikes waiting to be built at least 10 have complete builds waiting. My buddy and his wife went and had kids so it has slowed up my bike project progress significantly. People can be...

    1989 Kestrel MXZ rebuild

    1989 Kestrel MXZ rebuild

Thanks, I was thinking about a more period correct restore but I soon realized a lot of the stuff from 1989 wasn't the best looking or in many cases the best working. Once I went away from the faux rock finish I figured all best are off and just wanted to build it with parts that looked like...

    1989 Kestrel MXZ rebuild

Thanks, I cant take credit for the space, it is at my buddies house. I provided a bunch of the tools and alot of the frames and he purchased a couple of 72" stainless chests to house our tools and small bits and pieces. He also found the frame holder and the work bench it is from an Italian...

    1989 Kestrel MXZ rebuild

Getting close to finishing a complete rebuild of a 1989 Kestrel. Originally I bought this thinking it was in decent condition, once it arrived I was quickly disabused of that notion. I came with an extremely heavy Quadra shock and when we decided to rebuild it I went looking for a periodish fork...
