Hi, I recently got my kid his first 26" mtb with 7 speed Shimano Tourney mech. It´s got Shimano grip shift-style gear shifting. The rear mech is totally wasted and I´m wondering if I can use a LX rear mech instead? It´s ca 1998-ish LX mech, so it´s 8-speed. All help appreciated :) /J

Hi there, I´m planning going 1x8 on my privateer. Can I use my front mech keeping the chain from falling off? If something more specific is needed, please feel free to tip me :) I´m planning using my xt m737 crank with a 32T ring. TIA /J

Hi! I got a friend who´s fixing his old crescent road bike. It´s early eighties and the tire dimensions are 27 x 1 1/16. I´ve tried finding tyres but don´t really see what this translates into todays dimensions. It doesn´t seem to be be 700C? Thanks in advance Jan
