    Bontrager OR

A buddy who works in another shop once texted me a couple of photos of a Bontrager that he had in for repair. I half jokingly said that I'd buy it if it came up for sale. A few months later.....it did! Buddy acted as the go-between and I picked it up for the princely sum of $120CAD. I lusted...

    Which Muddy Fox Frame?

I got this frame many moons ago when I lived in the UK and built my Dad a bike up for Christmas. He had many good years out of it but then upgraded to something more road-centric and this had been thrown in the coal shed ever since! He's asked me about who he can give the bike too, but I'm...

    Balfa Belair

A few shots of the Balfa that I recently picked up. It was hardly used and spent most of it's life in someones garage. I bought it to ride, hence building it up with some contemporary parts, including 50mm stem and 780mm bar. First shot was how I got it. Second shot was the first ride, when I...

    Brodie Libido

I got lucky and picked up this Brodie Libido for $100 off Pinkbike this morning! The owner was very honourable and held it for me despite a long queue of people wanting it and offering more money. There seems to be precious little info on these on-line and hardly any photos of them. There's no...

    Sourcing Old Fork Seals

The Judy dust seal thread has reminded me about something. Fork seals (it probably wouldn't be much else would it? Although Judy from Richard And Judy now springs to mind. Judge Judy?) Has anyone ever tried an industrial seal supplier for old seals? I'd be surprised if fork companies designed...

    S-Works M2 Team - 1995 Build

Hi de Hi Campers! I had one of the first M2 Team Ed frames BITD: It was my last race bike and other than the paint falling off it and it breaking, it was great! I've just been given a '95 S-Works version so I'm going to build myself another one. The frame was a bit rough with a lot of paint...

    Guess The Signatures?!

I have this (given by an old employer ages ago): I can figure out Greg Herbold and Missy Giove's signatures. I don't suppose any happens to know any of the others, or can figure them out? One of the more bizarre questions I know...

    Kelly Mountain Bike

http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/pml/b ... 26619.html This seems to have been advertised forever and the price keeps going up and down. I'm surprised that it hasn't sold as looking on the old Kelly website, the geometry seems surprisingly modern (long top with a short seat tube. I'm 6' tall...

Free frame! - Vancouver BC only.

Anyone fancy taking on my old Nishiki E-stay frame on as a project? It'll just be the frame, headset and fork. As per this thread: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=257902 If the advert needs a price, then it's $0.00  Sorry, I'm not shipping it. I'll just donate it if no-one wants it, as I was...

Ross Mt Hood - Miami Vice Content

I just had to buy this, as the somewhat disturbed side of my brain thinks it's awesome! It's interesting that people are claiming that this particular bike is made in the USA, when the sticker clearly states 'Made In Taiwan'! Probably explains why the stickers have been at least partially...

    Kona Haole Ti

I would have done a build thread for this, but in the end it only took me three days to swap out the wheels, and various other bits to make the bike a nice mix of old and new school. I don't know if it's the same for all these bikes (and they seem so rare that I might never know!)...

    1989 Specialized Stumpjumper Comp

This has been posted a few times locally with a possibly 'out there' price, but it's a great old bike: http://vancouver.en.craigslist.ca/van/b ... 46968.html

    North Shore Retro Ride

I'm sure the purists will groan with regards to putting a Judy (coil sprung) fork and Tomac bar on my Vertex, but the bike is now a right laugh to ride, and that's what matters :D

    What Proflex Is This?

Looks like a 954 from doing a search but maybe the shock was upgraded? If so, what shock is this? I sort of rescued this from under a patio on an island but the main pivot hardware has snapped and I guess it'll be impossible to find replacements. I'm still intrigued though, and if nothing else...

    Nishiki Mystic E-Stay Build

I'm partly at least throwing this up here to prompt me to do something with it! I really like this style of E-stay frame, and seeing as this model seemingly never made it out of Vancouver I should really give it a bit of loving. I've got no exact plan for it, and no desire to do a 'period...

    Name That Seat QR!

It came of a Klein Attitude from circa 1992 (I tuned it up but the customer wanted a bolt rather than a QR). The spindle looks Ti and the whole thing weighs hardly anything. Seems really nicely made too. But it could of course be a piece of shi'ite! Any ideas?

    Underworld Front Hub?

Does anyone know anything about this company? It came of a Balfa Bobonum which unfortunately got shipped of to South Africa (complete with shopping basket....). However the front wheel was wrecked and we replaced it. I kept the hub..... I can't find any info anywhere, and while it could be some...

Any E-Stay Experts In The House?

I guess so! Any idea what this frame is? The adjustable BB cup is cross threaded and seized so the customer left the bike. I'm tempted to put my own time into getting it out (penetrating fluid, torch, hacksaw etc have done nothing but I'm sure it'll come out eventually, but I wouldn't mind...

    What Are These Brakes?

For some reason I am thinking that they are old low end Shimano although they don't match anything else, and have no markings on them? I'm reasonably certain they are not fap worthy but I quite like them in an understated way. They are on a $40 battered 80's Specialized that just happened to...
