I just had to buy this, as the somewhat disturbed side of my brain thinks it's awesome! It's interesting that people are claiming that this particular bike is made in the USA, when the sticker clearly states 'Made In Taiwan'! Probably explains why the stickers have been at least partially...

I would have done a build thread for this, but in the end it only took me three days to swap out the wheels, and various other bits to make the bike a nice mix of old and new school. I don't know if it's the same for all these bikes (and they seem so rare that I might never know!)...

I'm sure the purists will groan with regards to putting a Judy (coil sprung) fork and Tomac bar on my Vertex, but the bike is now a right laugh to ride, and that's what matters :D

Looks like a 954 from doing a search but maybe the shock was upgraded? If so, what shock is this? I sort of rescued this from under a patio on an island but the main pivot hardware has snapped and I guess it'll be impossible to find replacements. I'm still intrigued though, and if nothing else...

It came of a Klein Attitude from circa 1992 (I tuned it up but the customer wanted a bolt rather than a QR). The spindle looks Ti and the whole thing weighs hardly anything. Seems really nicely made too. But it could of course be a piece of shi'ite! Any ideas?
