Looking really smart Andrew. Are you happy with the finish?

They were talking about this on the Pinkbike podcast the other week. They seemed pretty certain it wouldn't become mainstream, mainly because of smaller riders and would stay in it's own niche. Now 29" has seen of 27.5" I can't see a big swing away from it any time soon.

I've got what I think is an 88 I'd probably let go mate? My plan was a repaint (although it doesn't need it) to 89 colours but not sure I'll ever get around to it. Looks a bit like the one above, I'll send pics if you want them?

Same boat here, 6'2" and spent the 90's and 00's riding bikes that were too small because they looked better. God bless 29" wheels! With my retro collection I stopped worrying about riding them too much when modern geometry changed to the point that it made my retro stuff feel very noodley and...

I bought this from the original owner years ago. He had got it old stock around 1992, built with a real mixture of parts including some virtually unused Mavic 231CD on Suntour XC Pro wheels which I still have on my 1992 orange/white. The owner only ever used it for the odd local ride on canals...

Yeah, the 88 and early 89 Saracen Trekker was double U.

95/6 would be my guess? Early ones from 94 didn't have the Crud Catcher mount. Went back to being called Clockwork by 97.
