Got the screws out and replaced them with a pair from another front mech
Ended up using my hacksaw to cut new grooves in and slowly removing with a bigger flat head screw driver
Great bike, I had the same model but mine was reprayed by a previous owner
The condition of yours is lovely, thinks one of the more sought after years with the flutted down tube and flanged seat tube
Next issue, the high / low screw heads are gumped
Going to need to try and remove them with pliers or a screw extractor (if I can find one small enough) 🙄
Just setting up the gears on my latest build and I noticed my front shifter is not pulling the cable at all
Took the cable out of the outer and frame to check if anything was impacting it and removed and reinstalled the cable but when clicking the shift levers it’s not doing anything/not...
All the other ones I’ve seen were 130/140mm but these are only 100mm.
Perhaps the travel was reduced by the previous owner seller? I bought them from ‘High spec forks’ on eBay and I know he has reduced travel on other forks.
You can see from the exposed stanchions there is only 100mm
£50 + P&P
In mint condition. I don’t think it’s ever been used, I installed it to find it was too short for my set up
