commuting by bike must be great! I am very envy, since I've just started a new job which means 2*90min commuting by train per day. I'm in doubt how long will it take before I give up. (previous place changed WFH policy, resulting in 5*2*90min/week commuting by car (!!) instead of the former one...

very well deserved 35 km of riding today.

first a 7,5 kms walk with mrs. hombre later a quick (honest it was! :) ) 25 kms ride

only a 18kms long short ride today.

I was standing on this stump watching the landscape... ...imagine that the tree used to be here was living its whole life 'watching' this scenery and didn't care for a moment with all the crazy world around. it had to be a great life.

I was too curious and went back this morning for the puffballs mentioned a few posts back. it was surprisingly hot and I hate backpack, so this wasn't really a pleasant ride, but any ride is better than no ride at all, isn't it? anyhow, the puffballs! I found six of them, took three. one...

I hear you, Sir, regarding the flying bike. :) I'm glad, that you're OK. a new bike or frame can be bought anytime. (though for buying new you should not have to destroy the old one, you know! ;) )

it is surprising to me that a 'not-so-big' (or at least it doesn't seem to be) impact can cause such a bad damage to a frame. a few years ago I had a very similar incident. I was riding at around 30-32kmps according to the sportstracker log when a fallen bough* which I missed to catch sight of...
