After two years, the Trek 2300SL is finished and much better than expected. 8,74 kilos is extremely respectable knowing that is a 26 years old bike. It handles well and is comfy for an aluminium frame

After the fork and headset were installed I noticed a very very thin and small hairline crack in the headtube, so I decided to give it to repair and have the place where the crack happened repainted.
For me it was a Bernard Dangre when I was a kid worst handling of any bike I have ever had and bad brakes. Had also a Girardengo folding bike which was pretty atrocious regarding handling and heavy.
The P2 was a competitor of the Trek Hilo , also there was the Cervelo Soloist. The Superprodigy was TIG welded but not sure what tubing was used , a prodigy was also existing in titanium according toi my memory.
