    What’s this lugged beauty?

Rotrax were known for curved bridges, lots of builders did them. The cable stop doesn't look to specific to me.

...on borrowed time as it has a super long toptube (22 1/2") and I ride 21" square frames, I just don't get along with the handling. It's going to a better place... The garage wall of frames I like but don't work for me. The good news is all it's parts are going on a Rotrax sportive build.:) : Mike

    Can anyone identify this frame?

Still haven't identified this frame, it does look a bit like how Rotrax are done, but the frame number doesn't work for Rotrax. It fits better as a R.O. Harrison, but I don't know much about them, is there any R.O. Harrison owners on here that might be able to give me some pointers?

    1960s Carpenter front mech issues

I have that exact issue on the Rotrax, only way I could resolve it reasonably neatly (and without setting everything on fire) was to use a short run of cable outer from where the guide kick-up runs to the mech. I’ll try and get a picture later. The lever, that looks like the braze fitting is out?

Your Rotrax is just beautiful. We are now related as I bought It's 21" twin that's now living in Southern California. Congratulations on a very special bicycle, I have been after one for years, it truly is a small world. Best Wishes And Many Happy Miles: Mike

...The brake bridge is a pretty arch, with unique reinforcement "claws" that wrap half way around the seatstays as if it were a beast. High end Rotrax frames are VERY rare, especially in the US. (Via Classic Lightweights) "Rotrax Cycles was founded in 1945 at 132 Shirley Road, Southampton...

    Flamboyant Kingfisher

That is apparently the colour of my 1989 Rotrax that has just been restored for me by one of the fine members of this very site, I bought it as one of a pair that had been made by the Shirley company for a couple who toured France on them in the 90's and into the early 2000s. It sports a Golden...

Unidentified frame - just found out it's a Rotrax

Hi, my son in law has a Rotrax that his sister saved from a skip, I've been telling him for years that I'd help him rebuild it but to no avail. Anyway, for almost a year I've had a few frames sat in the garage that I couldn't identify but yesterday I found out that one of them is ......... you...

So mine have taken a back seat. A rather nice Dyna tech should be forthcoming in a couple of months. Lose some fat. Don't...

    Expensive, possibly optimistic, but lovely.

The Rotrax was the best of the oldies, apart from the Unknown one! The Ti On One s/s cyclo Xer was however THE best!
