Imlach's Sweaty Hippie Funk Collection, adventure bikes, rusty rats, cruisers and other alt bastardisations of bicyclery

As a rule i am not into tall bikes, but this one i am. It has a steampunk vibe and looks alot better than the usual pile of bits in a shape of a tall bicycle.

Could anyone guess a date for this pretty old Edison cyclo-cross machine?

WOOF! Like that alot. Nowt wrong with modern and if the levers were a little daintier it would be perfick. An 80's into 90's frame i reckon.

Pre-WW2 BSA, something of a diamond in the rough I believe

What would be really nice is an organisation that puts in the same amount of effort , as some of you chaps do, into the riders that are also on the vintage side. I would also like some new joints, some filler in a few dents, a re-paint, and so on.

    Fuji Sunn Revolt SL

The frame for 513 notes will be available for a VERY long time at that price. Sadly; in todays depressed market, what you have is not worth a huge amount. Sad times as they are good frames and there are some good bits on it 😒

1x and disc brake conversion with 700mm riser bars then.

Comparing 1x vs. 2x by the numbers.

Just when you think it can't be possible to have another 1x 2x thread on the internet, it happens.

Pre-WW2 BSA, something of a diamond in the rough I believe

I have officially given up trying to find the seatpost. It really is a bizarre thing and would love to know the story behind it. Was it even a real item? Was it put in for laughs like a dig at someone/a rival, or an inside joke? or slipped in under the noses of management who don't check...

Pre-WW2 BSA, something of a diamond in the rough I believe

I think it looks very much like the Mansfield Ormond as spec'd going by the front part of the rail

Pre-WW2 BSA, something of a diamond in the rough I believe

I have been searching but i can't find a drilled seatpost from the black and white days. @Guinessisgoodforyou @Woz Is the only component not listed in the spec. Must've been used on the lighter version, i guess, and must be as rare as rocking horse doodoo.

I have just clocked something in that BSA poster upthread. The seatpost is drillium!

For Sale Tioga Disk (Disc) Drive Pro Rear MTB Wheel

What would be winner, winner, chicken dinner is if somebody made new ones with modern fibres and clear plastic whatever it is. I think they would be stronger, than the originals, and there would be a market for them because they are iconic and look cool. It wouldn't affect prices on originals as...

There was someone here on RB looking for a set of these in a thread. Not a wanted thread btw.. I can't remember who it was though. Maybe try the search?

From Joy to Despair - 853 Rock Lobster

Might have been a cable stop for canti brakes there, or a light? Does look like it was painted after the drilling tbh. I have seen the same on other frames that were V/disc so maybe it is factory? Mis-aligned could still be factory like my Orange with its wonky bottle bosses and uneven...

Normally only for show. They can look OK but old father time isn't kind to the materials. It does make the survivors very rare and are priced accordingly.

An amount of hair in certain areas is more aero than shaved. I can't remember the exact places. Might be forearms and outside of the legs. The whole leg shaving thing is for making massage more comfy, application and removal of sticky bandages more effective and less painful, and to not have a...
