Anybody have any idea what this frame might be and if it's worth building up? I got it for free along with a Manitou 2 fork. I don't know if the frame were originally together or not. There's a serial number on the bb shell, but it's obscured by the paint. It starts of H4.... Cheers

What indicates it's a 1992? I'm no expert, but looking at the '92 and '93 Marin catalogs, here's why I think it's a '93: 1) the original top tube decals, traces of which I discovered when I polished the frame, were the large '93 style, not the small '92 style; 2) the original purple color...

Hi: Does anyone know if the cages from the VP-196 pedals (or any currently shipping VP pedals) will fit on my VP-193A pedal? Or if there is any place to get the original cages. I've emailed VP, but no answer.

I'm trying to rebuild a set of Answer Manitou Three forks. I can't get the adjuster caps to budge. The manual says to unscrew them by hand. But that's not happening. I don't see any way to get a tool on them without wrecking them. Any advice? Another issue is that the threaded fitting at the...

Hi: I bought this bike over the weekend. It has no headbadge or top tube decals, and the serial number is unreadable (see photo). But judging from the components, I think it's a 1993 Marin Indian Fire trail. It's got: 7 speed Deore XT drivetrain 7 speed cassette (not a freewheel) DX hubs...
