    A Very British Klunker

Todays job swapping out the brake shoes. Required a little fettling with an extra washer as there was a slight difference between the old and new. All fitted and working well, but thereis a bit of lateral wobble of the axle on the non brake side, just looking at the hub body and the axle below...

    Wot happened to fat bikes

I'd say jumbo jims as the lack of drag would be good and grip is not too critical

Well it must be a day for derailleur's. As well as the Suntour VX-GT turning up for the BSA Klunker, look what the postie bought me this morning ( without Trump tariffs) It was a little dirty but when I cleaned it up it was in way better condition than the broken one ( which will be bagged up...

Actually take that back regarding not getting onto the biggest cogs...after a bit of lube had soaked into the derailleur and derailleur spring it's doing it! Happy days...

So next problem on the agenda is the chain tension. @doctor-bond mentioned the Suntour Cyclone GT had a longer cage, so did a bit of research and there is a VX GT too with a longer cage, so bought a scruffy example from eBay and after a @Peachy! standard of degreasing and polishing, got it...

    Nishiki E stay Farnham

It's a Nishiki Alien SP. Will definitely have a cracked head and seat tube (they all do) so will need to factor in fixing with @danson67 If it was an ACX would be worth more than the current bid but is probably on the limit now

Trying to work out if I need new shoes or a whole new assembly. The cam on the shoes doesn't move them out very far for the travel of the lever, so the front brake is almost useless. Replacement shoe units are fairly cheap so probably easier to buy one.

I fixed cantilevers Forever. Trek 830

    Crank Length ?

I usually ride 170mm on my regular bikes (5ft8.5 and 33 inside leg), recently upgraded my Fat Bike to a Pinion Gearbox frame and Pinion only make 175mm Fat bike cranks, so I though "It can't make too much difference can it"...well how wrong was I, 90 minutes into my first ride my knee's and...

    Thermoplasticfantastic Scott Endorphin 1997

It's decal day😁. Still struggling with the rear derailleur assembly ( infact bought another 9.0sl from the States just in case I can't ressurect it). Main decals came from a seller in Hungary who is the font of all knowledge on Endorphin decals ( highly recommended) and of course @gil_m came up...
