I'm becoming very magnanimous these days. 15 years ago I would have gone to war on the absurdity of Contador's 2009 lake Annecy TT result. I think it's due to a drop in testosterone levels (mine, not Berties!).

I kinda treat the Internet forums like The Dude said " well that's just like your opinion man" . We can agree on things or disagree. As long as I'm/you're only hurting my/yourself and, I'm/you're not trying to take people's rights away or think you're better than someone for something they were born with/as/choose to believe, I'd still buy you a pint in person.

Of course, doesn't everyone do shots of EPO and rip lines of Creatine on Saturday nights before their Sunday morning ride to the coffee shop? Or am I the only one?

Yes - a junior in one of the WC rounds IIRC. Really ugly process vs the nod and a wink telling off and short ban if she had been knee deep in EPO and amphetamines.

I feel really stupid for saying this, but I had assumed Pog was just superhuman - a Merckx of his generation. But now I think about it, his career trajectory has been a little odd and he doesn’t have the normal climbers build which should have set alarm bells ringing. To be a great all- rounder in this era of scientific training and performance analysis is…difficult to explain. Still it may just be he won the genetic lottery like in Dr Hutch’s book.
